GAME THREAD: Welcome to WSU HOOPS as No. 10 WSU kicks off season tonight

Posted by Jeff Nusser on November 9, 2007

As promised, here we are — WSU HOOPS.

For those of you who don’t know me from anyone else, I’ve previously managed a pair of other blogs: Seattle Sports Report and Hangin’ With The Nuss. Each had its own purpose and evolution, but I ultimately found that I wanted to concentrate on two my most passionate sports loves: The Cougs and college basketball.

Although I now am a high school journalism teacher, in my former life I was a college basketball editor at CBS and my fanaticism for the sport has carried on. I’m as fired up for this season as any before for obvious reasons, and I hope you’ll join me on this adventure by becoming an active participant in the site.

You’ll find game analysis, perspective, open game threads, and even some perspective on what’s going on in the Pac-10 and around the country. While emotions sometimes will run high, we’ll leave the character bashing to other sites.

So, kick back, and enjoy the non-televised season opener against Eastern Washington tonight if you’re not one of the lucky people to be holding a ticket for sold-out Beasley Coliseum. Consider this your first open game thread.

And if you’re looking for something to do while listening to the game on the radio, you can get a taste for what I do — these are all my college hoops posts from my original site.

See you with some analysis tomorrow.
